Casting Blessings
How often are we mindful of the power of our words in each moment? If we agree with the thought that we are co-creators in the world we live in, and are in the process of stepping into walking in mastery as empowered human beings, then this is an important question to ask. Walking in mastery is asking us to be more mindful in each moment of what we think, feel, say and do. In this instance, what we say is also closely related to what we do. Our words are, in a real sense, casting the spell of our thoughts and emotions into the mix. Most of us rarely take responsibility for how potent these spells are, and how we commonly and unconsciously cast them about. It’s so easy to forget our own power, as mastery asks for our attention to be focused on our interior realm and its condition. We surround ourselves with busy work and distractions to the point where it’s just easier to curse than it is to bless whatever it is that may be presenting as just one more thing to suck our attention and energy out of us. Taking time to slow down and be more mindful may sound like an impossible mission, but it isn’t. It’s a part of becoming a master to honor the fact that we need to be more mindful at times. We need to honor that much of this is about habits that have been formed in times of less clarity and less awareness. I’m not saying that we need to run a game on ourselves about being spiritually correct all the time either. Sometimes it’s better to have a good cursing session just to get it out. Much better to do this than to subsume it into the unconscious zone again. Empty it out, if this is what is called for, for this is when the authentic blessings may pour forth. It’s always better to bless than to curse. Fighting against and cursing will only give whatever it is cursed more power and make it stickier. I say this from observing this phenomena carefully for about 3 decades now. I don't have to like or love all that I bestow blessings on, but this is still better than curses hurled at whatever it is. The basis of what I’m saying here is very simple. Its foundation is a truth I got from paganism which states that whatever spell you cast out, you also cast upon yourself even more. So, anyone thinking that they may cast curses out with impunity is mistaken. This isn't how the Universe works at all. Anyone who’s been through the resentment cycle and the eventual healing of resentment knows the truth of this. Holding resentment is highly poisonous and harms the holder more than anyone else. It poisons everything it touches and it touches everything. Moving into the space where one may be this mindful, holding the space for blessings to pour forth and to take hold in reality takes some practice and devotion. I can't think of a practice that is more worthy of my life force energy. The nature of my experiences change profoundly when I go forth into the world blessing as I go. Just mouthing the words isn't enough, however. It actually has to be authentic to how I feel. No spell is effective without the emotional component that drives it. All of us know this deep inside, so this is, no doubt, not a surprise to anyone reading this. When I release my inner resentments, along with my desires to control everything and be responsible for everything in impossible ways (it’s all about me, lol), I find the authentic feeling inside to drive my blessings to all that IS. My control tripping doesn't match up to the truer truth of a Benevolent Universe that supports me and everything else for the greater good of ALL. I release these untruths and take my place as a benevolent being casting blessings as I go.
